Participation in the MUN does not require a study visa but a tourist visa. If you are a citizen of a European Union country, you have freedom of movement within the borders of the EU with an identity document or passport. If you are a non-EU citizen: visit this government website for information on the visa you need https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/entry-exit/non-eu-nationals/index_it.htm Once you have registered for the conference, we can provide you with a document confirming you have signed up for the project. The document does not guarantee you will receive the visa nor does it substitute it: the visa can only be granted by the issuing authorities.
How to ask for the letter:
MUN ROME 2025 will take place at Centro Congressi Cavour, in via Cavour 50/A, 00184 Roma (RM).
General information
Once the country and committee assignments have been received, each delegate representing a UN member country will be required to write a Position Paper. This is a political statement that reflects the country’s views on the committee’s topic. The Position Paper should outline the relevant international and regional resolutions, conventions, and treaties that support your country’s position. It is essential to identify the key issues, explain your country’s policy, and propose solid recommendations to be implemented. Observer members and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are not required to write a Position Paper. For more details on how to write an effective Position Paper, see the MUN-EUROPE Position Paper Guidelines.
Format and guidelines
Please note that Position Papers must consist entirely of original writing. Based on their research, delegates must develop their own ideas and recommendations and present them in their own words. MUN-EUROPE does not tolerate plagiarism, including the reproduction of the content of the Background guides.
Deadline for submitting Position Papers: 15 February 2025 at 23:59
